Born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1985, Laura Ann Trimble is a life-long artist now living in New York City. L.A. attended Princeton University where she spent four years as a varsity tennis player, developed a passion for architecture and travel, and graduated in 2007 with a degree in art and archaeology and a certificate in Spanish. Following trips to Spain and San Francisco, she moved to New York with two suitcases, no housing, and an unpaid fashion internship. While pursuing a year and a half career on the business side of fashion, L.A. found a creative outlet turning to her childhood passions of drawing and painting. In her artwork she has found her calling in seeing and capturing the everyday beauty of daily life.

In her whimsical watercolor paintings L.A. is inspired by the Midwestern values of her native Hoosier home as well as the vibrant energy of friends and strangers in the Big Apple. She paints what she sees but Impressionist paintings and trips to Spain and London are always fresh in her mind's eye. Her view of daily life is seen through the eyes of recent young professional life in the art and fashion worlds. In her pursuit to draw or paint every day, she strives to stay down to earth, seeing the bright side of situations. She carries a camera whether traveling or at home and gravitates toward parks and public spaces, from gardens and greenways to small coffee shops. She also has a soft spot for summer ice cream stands.
